Report of the second meeting of the International Prisoners Committee on 30.4.45 (April 30, 1945).
1.) The Administration of the Camp
Highest authority according to the American. Colonel is
the INTERNATIONAL PRISONER COMMITTEE.
Sub-commision for:
a) Security in the camps
b) Nourishment
c) Medical service, desinfection, areas of responsability (Reviere): Dr Blaha
d) Work-schemes
e) Post (mail)
f) Information and culture (newspapers, broadsheets, meetings, music)
g) Sub-commission for disciplinary matters
h) Barrack facilities and cleaning of the camps
i) Light, water and electricity-supply
k) Storing of values (Effektenkammer), storing of prisoner-properties (Häftlingskammer) Storing of clothing (Wäschelager), cleaning of clothing (Wäschreinigung)
2.) The cannoniers Michailew (spelling?) (from the USSR) and Heulot (from Belgium) will be chosen as vice-presidents for the committee.
3.) The Lithuanians will be represented by the representative of the USSR.
4.) As representative for the Norwegians comrad Brock has been installed and as representative for the Greeks, comrad Yocarinis.
5.) The complete medical service and the distribution of Reviere will be subordinated to comrad Dr. Blaha. The present Revier-personnel with the chief of the Revier will continue to work. About 2,000 sick of Flecktyphus (spotted typhus) will soon be relocated out of the barracks, from the prisoner Revier into the former SS-Revier.
6) Any properties of value present in the Effektenkammer will handed over to their owners as soon as possible.
7) To celebrate the liberation of the camp and the probable close end of the war, there will be a large celebration, tomorrow, 1st May, 1945. The US-commander will be invited to this event.
